The Kentucky Adventure Tour

The Kentucky Adventure Tour is a 900+ mile loop (not counting the hard sections) in southeastern Kentucky. About 40% rural narrow twisty paved roads with the rest being gravel, dirt roads and trails, it will take five full summer days of riding to complete the main loop without the hard sections and up to six days with the hard sections. Some of these areas are very remote so do not go alone, and keep in mind that the average distance between gas stops is around 60 miles. Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway (DBBB)

The Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway (DBBB) is a high-clearance, 4wd route stretching over 100 miles along the scenic Red River Gorge and Daniel Boone National Forest In Eastern Kentucky. Made up of both improved and unimproved country and public roads, The DBBB is of moderate difficulty and only open to licensed vehicles. It is, however, designed for entry level offroading and therefore a good option for a safe, rewarding driving experience. If you consider yourself an offroader, the Transamerica Trail is a serious must-experience. Here’s how to do it right: Ente Tennessee from the Andrews, North Carolina angle and enjoy the first 80 mile stretch of roads made for Jeeps and off-road enthusiasts and stacked with views of the Snowbird Mountains, the Nantahala National Forest, the Cherokee National Forest, and part of the Cherohala Skyway. If you’re not ready to stop, head south into Northern Georgia and the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests, riding high on dirt-based, hard-packed, Jeep-ready roads, twisting and turning with switchbacks and turnouts.
