TAXA Outdoors mobile habitats are designed to be both lightweight and durable. This not only helps to reduce the impact on the environment, but also ensures that each habitat will last a lifetime. The efficient shape allows for highway-speed travel, while the interior design maximizes functionality with minimal materials. And, since each habitat is compact enough to fit in a normal garage, there’s no need to rent a storage unit.

Powder Coated Steel
Durable powder-coated steel is used for all habitat chassis, as well as the Mantis skeleton and Woolly Bear. Additionally, the fenders and gravel guards on all habitats are made of powder-coated steel.

Aluminum Skeleton
The Cricket and TigerMoth skeletons are built with high-grade laser-cut aluminum, contributing to the habitats’ lightweight design.

Kynar-Painted Aluminum Composite Panels
Lightweight and eco-friendly, these aluminum composite panels have a powder-coated kynar exterior and interior. A 2lb closed cell foam core provides excellent insulation with significant R-Value, while also adding to the habitats’ lightweight strength.

Wilsonart High Pressure Laminate Countertop
Wilsonart® High Pressure Laminate is a high-performing, durable surface that offers long-lasting function as countertops in TAXA habitats.

Baltic Birch Plywood Cabinetry
All cabinetry in TAXA habitats is made from strong 7ply birch wood, from the transforming bed/dining spaces to the modular kitchens with ample storage.

Non-Slip Seamless Nickel Patterned Flooring
Inside Cricket and Mantis habitats, this durable and easy-to-clean flooring runs wall to wall, front to back, and is attached with an environmentally friendly adhesive.

Plywood Deck with ABS Laminate
Exterior-grade Douglas Fir plywood decking provides a strong base, with 1” thick decking in Cricket and Mantis and ¾” thick decking in TigerMoth. The ABS laminate protects the underside of the deck, sealing it off from road grime and grease.
